Schwartz summary

  1. identify the compulsion, identify the urge, it is just your brain giving a wrong signal, biochemical signal or reaction
  2. label it as a feeling
  3. focus elsewhere
  4. do the next right thing
What a powerful thing for overcoming compulsion. Far simpler than the  12 steps. But the 12 steps take four to deal with moral improvements and two more to deal with relationships. But the step flesh it out nicely.
